About Us

Founded in 1993 by Howard B. Lefkowitz, Leeds Holdings Southeast Inc. was created to acquire and develop mixed-use residential properties. Leeds Holdings has since become a leader in the industry, having acquired land for 12 communities, ranging in size from 200 to 1200 units, providing for 5000 building lots, and 3 million square feet of commercial use property

Our success is the result of two operational philosophies. First, we build and maintain strong relationships with local entitling and jurisdictional agencies. This is done by:
  • Meeting with government staff and officials to ascertain issues, impacts, and local needs
  • Requesting workshops and enlisting both staff and public input into the review process
  • Assessing financial and growth impacts, and be willing to accept equitable responsibilities for mitigation of those impacts
  • Addressing the entitlement process as a partnership with the existing community, with the goal of providing benefit to both parties
Secondly, we use a market driven approach to land development. Our goal when creating a new Leeds Holdings community is to offer more value than any existing or planned community within the defined marketplace. We accomplish this by:
  • Defining specific market needs
  • Assessing existing communities against market requirements and financial viability
  • Creating a physical overview of the marketplace and analyzing statistical trends
  • Interacting with local and national builders to gain direct input on market composition
  • Analyzing local housing types and pricing targets to define lot product allocations
By combining our innovative market driven approach with strong governmental interaction, Leeds Holdings Southeast, Inc. has become a leading developer of residential and mixed-use communities in Central Florida.
